RANK STRUCTURE


     While for the rank structure, the Malaysian Army uses the system based on the British Army. In the Malaysian rank structure, we have 17 levels from Private, to General. These rank have been divided by two groups which is Officer and other ranks which they include all the Non-commissioned officer. 

 For the officer, the system had divide it into 3 groups which is ; 
  1. Senior Officers : consist of lieutenant colonel, colonel, brigadier officer, major general, lieutenant general and general.
  2. Field Officer : holding the rank of major only.
  3. Junior Officers : consist of Second Lieutenant, lieutenant, and captain.
  4. Other Ranks : Senior NCO - holding the rank of SergeantStaff Sergeant, warrant officer II and    warrant officerJunior NCO - includes NCOs holding the rank of Lance Corporal and CorporalPrivate - Private soldiers in the Malaysian Army do not wear any rank devices on their uniform. There are no distinctions made between junior or senior Privates.
